Today:

Cloudy start for much of England and Wales. Becoming brighter with sunny intervals developing for most. Dry and bright generally in the west. Occasional showers, locally wintry, mainly in the east. Remaining rather cold.

Tonight:

Generally dry with some clear spells over western parts, but cloudier further east with some wintry showers, especially near the east coast. A fairly widespread frost developing.

Wednesday:

Mainly dry with some sunny spells in the west. Occasional wintry showers continuing in the east, perhaps becoming heavy at times across southeastern parts. Rather cold generally.
