Well done London

6 July 2005

With London confirmed as the winning bid to host the 2012 Olympics Games, the weather conditions likely to be experienced at the various locations around the UK will be of interest to many.

The Met Office is proud to have provided the Olympic bid team with weather and climate data which went into the bid documents and we hope the event is a truly wonderful occasion for all concerned.

So what can be expected late July/early August in London and at the other venues in terms of the weather conditions?
