- The Met Office has been in discussion with a number of relevant
organisations and from the 28 April 2006 there will be
changes to the provision of weather forecasts for the high ground
of the UK.
- From this date, the Met Office will issue a twice-daily weather
forecast for mountainous areas of the UK covering the primary
weather elements.
- This information will be free of charge and will be available
via the Met Office web site.
Some details of the service are still being worked out with potential
users and further announcements will be made in coming weeks.
