Bank holiday outlook

Met Office forecasters are predicting a change to unsettled conditions during the Bank holiday weekend - this following the recent warm, dry and sunny weather that many parts of the UK have been experiencing.

Current indications suggest that the first half of the weekend could offer some dry and warm weather with sunny spells, especially for central areas.  Further west it will become increasingly cloudy.

The change in conditions looks likely to bring some rain or showers for a time to many parts of the country during Sunday and into Monday. There will still be bright weather with some sunshine for those looking to get out and about.

Although it will be cooler than of late in areas away from the east coast, temperatures will remain above average. Highs will generally reach between 13 and 17 °C over the weekend, although as high as 22 °C in the south-east on Sunday.

Met Office forecaster, Nick Grahame said: "Some eastern parts of the UK have not seen rain for several weeks, so any rain will be welcomed by farmers and growers".
