Headline:

Snow and ice spreading from the west.

This Evening and Tonight:

Snow showers in the east at first will die away. Clear, cold and frosty for a time. Rain, preceded by a period of snow and ice, will spread eastwards over much of northern and then central and eastern Britain.

Sunday:

Early rain, sleet and snow in the east, with icy roads and pavements, will clear to leave a windy day with sunny intervals and scattered blustery showers.
